The Style of a Newborn & Portrait Photographer|| KatieRie Photography

My style as a Charlotte Newborn and Portrait photographer is described as light, airy, organic, and simple, yet sometimes playing with gorgeous shadows. The colors that are used most of the time are soft neutrals that are timeless and elegant. This is so the backdrops, props, wraps, and headbands don’t take away from the subject, but compliment her features. The props used during sessions are vintage and classic, and the outfits were handmade specifically for photography, showcasing your gorgeous little one. Each piece and prop is chosen with care so that your final product is a true piece of art.

VIP Service for AWESOME Clients-Charlotte Photographer

I am SO excited to reveal an online service that clients can use once they book a session with KatieRie Photography! Whoop! (happy dance, HAPPY DANNNNCE). Guys…for whatever reason I was stuck in the dark ages. I wrote everything down in my paper planner (habit from teaching), contracts were sent back to me via snail mail (I know, I KNOW! Palm to forehead, call me old fashioned! And obviously NOTHING against snail mail)…BUT!! Now I have this system in place and it is sooooooo AWESOME! Clients have their OWN CLIENT PORTAL!!! (BOOM. Mic Drop).

I will NEVER stop servicing my clients EVER. I will always push myself to learn more in all areas of this little business of mine so that YOU get the VERY BEST.

Now…I’m off to do my own happy dance with my three littles. These days our happy dance goes along to all the songs in the “Greatest Showman.” It’s the cutest thing, even IF my kids make up all the lyrics and they don’t make sense. #chaosisliving

Confetti Mini Sessions–Charlotte Child Photography

Working as a photographer has many perks. I get to think outside the box and learn from other awesome photogs in the “biz” and figure out which sessions would be best for my clients. This March, I sat back and thought. I needed something new. Something fun. Something I have never done before…enter the awesomely messy confetti sessions and BOOM. We have a winner. What a fun experience for kids. Heck! It was fun for ME!! The kids get to get messy, throw stuff at siblings, throw things and twirl in the air and NOT GET IN TROUBLE WHILE DOING SO. When I posted information about the sessions, I few clients expressed interest, but were hesitant since they had BOYS, and I had had my girls model for the promo. But seriously–these sessions were for boys AND girls. The boys LOVED throwing the confetti at the camera and seeing how high they could throw it. I had dresses for the girls to choose from (if moms needed it) and the girls had a BALL twirling in the big frilly dresses.

Epic Mess; Epic Fun

I WILL be doing these again. These sessions were EPIC. I had fun, the kids had fun, parents had fun–it was a win/win/win all around. I’m STILL finding confetti and glitter around my studio, but the mess was worth it. I mean, who WOULDN’T want a chance to make a mess on purpose?!

Maybe that’s a good slogan…set up a child photography session today with KatieRie Photography–come make a mess on purpose;)

The Newborn & Baby Photography Studio

The Newborn & Baby Photography Studio is based out of Charlotte, NC and well equipped with state-of-the-art studio equipment. Because of my *slight* obsession with props for the studio, there are choices galore when it comes to outfits, headbands, backdrops, vintage props, and much, much MORE! Seriously…all you need to do is show up for your session. I take over from there. IF you have outfits you would like to use, bring them along to your session! The outfits from the studio are handmade specifically for photography. They are beautiful and delicate; fresh and timeless. There are also plenty of textured layers and different backdrops to suit clients’ tastes. It’s basically an all-inclusive for your photography needs! Wam, bam, thank you MAM!
